The long and the short of it is that NYC will not be hiring ANY teachers outside the system (i.e. me) so they can save money. They will instead be hiring teachers within the system EVEN IF THEY RECEIVED UNSATISFACTORY REVIEWS. This means that teachers that have already been documented as useless will get the job before someone who is qualified and capable. Gotta love those unions!
I am seriously pissed. I guess there's always next year...

are you serious???? that sucks! and irresponsible. Does this only pertain to the public school system? Do you still have a chance with private schools?
